Our factory

At Herculano, we take pride in the craftsmanship and care behind each piece. The majority of our clothing is produced by a skilled team of tailors in Africa, with some items handcrafted in-house at Herculano Studio. Custom orders are completed at our factory, with adjustments handled locally at Herculano.  

Our factory is managed by a dedicated team, including:  

- 2 managers  

- A quality check team of 2  

- 10 sewers (scaling up to 24 machines during peak seasons)  

- 3 pattern makers  

- 2 cutters  

This well-structured team ensures tasks are executed efficiently, making it easier to identify and resolve challenges. The factory manager brings decades of experience in the fashion industry, having worked with major brands and celebrities. Their leadership and expertise ensure that the beauty and tradition of African prints are respected while meeting the needs of our customers.  

Before any item is released, we conduct thorough sampling and quality checks to ensure it meets our design standards. Each piece is inspected at the factory in Africa and again upon arrival in Norway. We unpack and meticulously review every item to guarantee it is ready for shipment, ensuring the highest quality for our customers.  

We are committed to providing fair and supportive working conditions for our African team. By working closely with them, we uphold our values of respect, collaboration, and quality craftsmanship.
